Terms of Service

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using Recursive ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the Service. If you're using Recursive on behalf of an organization (a club, association, or league), you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Recursive is a sports-club operations platform provided by Recursive Creations, LLC ("we," "us"). The Service includes web access at recursive-sports.com (or successor domains), the underlying APIs, and any associated mobile or desktop clients we publish. We may add, remove, or change features as the platform evolves.

You're responsible for: (a) keeping your account credentials secure, (b) the accuracy of information you provide, (c) all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

Recursive does not currently support direct accounts for users under 13. Account holders must be at least 13 years old. When a parent, guardian, club administrator, or coach enters information about a minor (roster entry, schedule, photo, statistics), the adult is responsible for confirming they have appropriate consent to share that information on the minor's behalf. Don't use Recursive to: harass, threaten, or harm others; upload content that infringes a third party's rights; circumvent authentication or access data belonging to other clubs or members; introduce malware or attempt to compromise the Service's security; resell, white-label, or sublicense access without our written consent (Association tier customers may have specific licence terms in their contract).

You retain ownership of the content you upload (rosters, photos, schedules, messages, club information). By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store, display, and process that content as necessary to provide the Service to you and your club. We do not claim ownership of your data, do not sell it, and will not use it to train advertising or third-party AI models. We will return or delete your content on cancellation per our Privacy Policy.

Taking part in Recursive is free, with no time limit. What we charge for is described on our pricing page: athlete seats bought by a club or league for a season, one-time fees such as a tournament fee, and add-ons. You are never charged unless you explicitly choose to buy something, and you are never charged for being added to a team, league or tournament by someone else. A one-time fee is charged once, at the time you choose to pay it. Seats and add-ons are bought for the season selected at purchase and billed in advance; adding seats is a purchase you make, and a roster change never changes what you pay. Sales tax may apply based on your billing address. We may change pricing for new purchases at any time; a club or league holding seats will be notified at least 30 days before a price change applies to its next purchase.

You may cancel a seat purchase or an add-on at any time. A seat purchase is refundable pro rata within 30 days of purchase and non-refundable thereafter, except where required by law; the seats stay in force for the rest of the season they were bought for. A one-time fee is non-refundable except where required by law. Cancelling never removes anything: your teams, seasons and records stay where they are, and everyone on them keeps taking part free. If you want your data removed, you can delete your account at any time from settings, which follows the deletion process in our Privacy Policy: a 7-day window during which the request can be cancelled, after which your personal information is anonymized.

Recursive, the Recursive logo, the spiral mark, and all associated trademarks are the property of Recursive Creations, LLC. The Service's source code, design, and user interface are protected by copyright, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you a licence to use our trademarks or copyrighted material outside the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties about uninterrupted operation, error-free behaviour, or fitness for a particular purpose beyond what's required by applicable consumer-protection law. Sports outcomes recorded in Recursive are user-generated; we don't guarantee accuracy and aren't responsible for disputes about scoring or standings between clubs.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Recursive Creations is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or for prolonged inactivity (12+ months with no logins and nothing bought). We will give reasonable notice except when prompt termination is necessary to prevent harm. You may terminate your account at any time.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Williamson County, Texas. You waive any objection to that venue.

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated via email to active accounts and posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. If you don't accept a change, you may cancel your account.
